We conducted a study on the possible interconnection of greenhouse farms.
The goal is to exchange heat and possibly partially replace it with a central source (biomass combustion, deep geothermal, or other technology).
In doing so, we must certainly take into account the need of these companies for heat, CO2 as well as electricity. Combined heat and power (CHP) can be considered an important supplier or back-up of heat.
In this study we examine the realization of heat and CO2 networks in a number of specific greenhouse horticulture clusters in the Province of Antwerp.
Here we highlight:
Greenhouse horticulture expert. Lecturer and greenhouse horticulture representative.
Practical application of energy technologies in buildings and greenhouses. Technical-economic evaluations of heat grids, heat pumps, etc., among others.
