Within this project, Flemish and Dutch partners are working together to encourage citizens to build energy-neutral, lifecycle-proof homes.
We want to develop an integral concept to make private owners' homes more sustainable.
We do this based on co-creation and with a focus on self-sufficiency. In this way the homes remain energy-neutral, even when the energy profile of the resident changes.
In 9 different neighbourhoods in the Netherlands and Flanders, the researchers will work with co-creations. With citizens on one side to create awareness and ownership, with companies to find technical solutions.
We are also carrying out various demonstrations and pilots around technological product and process innovations. Among others on:
(DC is the abbreviation for "direct current," direct voltage.)
With all the info from the co-creation sessions, we are developing an ENLEB menu. This is a useful tool in plain language that residents and organisations can use to make their homes more sustainable. Both technical and financial aspects are discussed and attention is paid to maximising the added value of sustainability compared to the investments.
Proud of this team: bright researchers, knowledgeable staff, fine people.
